Vikingdom trembles with great dumb joy even before we meet the apparently handcrafted hell-dragon that looks like a set of windup chattering teeth combined with a homecoming float.

Tegan Moss - Rotten Tomatoes

Fierce medieval battles sprinkle the movie and relies on ancient Norse theology for the storyline, creating a vastly different and darker Norse Universe than Marvel.

Divinities in the form of Frey (Jesse Moss) and Freyja (Tegan Moss) have their respective agendas of assisting Eirick in his quest. Frey, the male divine manifestation, whose costume looks like it is designed as if for him to float instead of walking for fear of him tripping on the apparel.

Making waves The script by James Coyne is fairly clever and shows a better grasp of Norse mythology than most screenplays of its kind.
Love in glacier national: a national park Produced for a fraction of the budget of Marvel's 'Thor' pics, this cheerfully silly action fantasy is unpretentious fun best suited to younger viewers.
Love on fire King Eirick is called back among the living to fight against Thor and thwart his plan to destroy humanity; he must collect three special relics from different worlds, the hammer from Valhalla, the necklace from Maria Magdalena and Odin's horn.

Midgard’s only hope lies with Elric Bloodletter (Dominic Purcell); a mighty king and leader of men, whose bravery was such that it won him the favor of the love goddess Freya (Tegan Moss) and inspired her to bring him back from Midgard to fight again when he fell in battle.
The action is okay, nothing unusual or captivating.

Vikingdom is a film with production credits almost as bizarre as its plot. It's of Malaysian heritage, but with an international cast of varying acting ability, all slumming it in a movie that is ridiculously over-ambitious given its patently meagre budget.
This is one of those films where you don't really know what just hit you.
Review: Viking king Eirick the Bloodletter (Dominic Purcell) meets his death in battle only to be resurrected by his lover, the Norse goddess Freya (Tegan Moss). Abandoning the throne to his brother, Eirick leads a life in seclusion as a humble woodcutter.

  • Film Review: ‘Vikingdom: The Red Eclipse’ - Variety Well, I first heard of its title, known simply as Vikingdom back then, from a classmate of mine who told me he was somewhat involved in the film as a labour or something as his part-time job. And I was like KRU (siblings of three who are known as musicians first before seriously venturing into film making), a bunch of MALAYSIANS, making a film.

  • This is one of those films where you don't really know what just hit you. In this case, it hit me and my old roommate (also still faculty-mate and currently also course-mates), where he suddenly asked me for an impromptu movie-watching session just before my Italian Language class, and surprisingly, we watched on the day it was released and it was also surprisingly kinda good!.
